Some places have history. O’Donnabháin’s is history. Sitting proudly on Henry Street since 1775, O’Donnabháin’s has been at the heart of Kenmare life for nearly 250 years. That’s not a marketing line: it’s the truth. This building has seen generations come and go, and through it all, it’s remained a gathering place for locals and visitors alike.

The Bar

Step through the doors of O’Donnabháin’s and you’ll feel it immediately. The worn wooden floors. The low ceilings. The hum of conversation mixing with traditional music. This is what an Irish pub is supposed to be.

We’re not quite ready to open the doors yet, but we’re thrilled to introduce the newest member of the Foley family: J J O’Mahony’s.

This traditional Irish bar has been a labour of love: a careful restoration project that honours the building’s past while creating something fresh for the future. We’ve taken our time because getting it right matters more than getting it done quickly.
